RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 7) – The Saint Augustine’s University (SAU) Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of Julius Wells as men’s golf coach and Cantrailia Kerr-Preston as cheerleading coach on Thursday, Sept. 7.

Wells returns as men’s golf coach after guiding the Falcons from 2009 to 2013. He was a standout golfer at SAU where he graduated in 2009 with a human performance and wellness degree. The Bridgeport, Conn., native placed among the top 15 golfers two consecutive years at the CIAA Golf Championships.

Kerr-Preston enters her first season as cheerleading coach for the Blue Chips squad. She was an All-CIAA cheerleader at SAU where she graduated in 2001 with a theater and film degree. The Chapel Hill, N.C., native has 17 years of dance experience and is owner and instructor of Just Dance studio, which she opened in 2006.
