Doug Robertson Out at S.C. State

scsu bulldogORANGEBURG, SC—The South Carolina State University Department of Athletics will not renew the contract of women’s head basketball coach Doug Robertson, Jr.

“We would like to thank Coach Robertson for his service to the program and the university and wish him well in all his future endeavors,” said Director of Athletics Stacy Danley.

Robertson, Jr. was hired in 2008 and his teams went 112-175 overall (61-99 MEAC) during his 10 years at South Carolina State.

Assistant Coach Roderick Woods will assume the role of interim head coach and a national search to find the next leader for the women’s basketball program will begin immediately.
