Dover, Del.  --- Delaware State University has selected Pamella Jenkins as the new head coach of the Hornets’ women’s lacrosse team.

Jenkins most recently served a three-year stint as Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at NCAA Div. II Notre Dame College in South Euclid, OH, where she also held the positions of Assistant Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator.dsu pam jenkins Jenkins

She led the Falcons to seven lacrosse wins in 2019, the most by the program since 2014. The team also recorded three conference wins last season, the most since joining the Mountain East Conference in 2015.

Notre Dame had eight MEC All-Academic honorees and one all-conference first team selection during Jenkins’ coaching tenure.

From 2013 to 2015, she was a member of the women’s lacrosse staff at Oberlin College in Ohio, serving as an assistant coach the first two seasons before being appointed as acting head coach in the last year.

Oberlin posted a 29-18 overall record during Jenkins’ three seasons with the program, including a 10-7 mark (4-4 conference) while she was acting head coach in 2015. The team featured two All-North Coast Athletic Conference First Team players that season.

Jenkins’ college coaching resume’ also includes a three-year stint (2005-08) as an assistant coach at the University of Vermont of the Div. I America East Conference. The Catamounts led the America East in draw controls and four players earned all-conference recognition during her tenure.
