FergusonThe Alcorn State University department of athletics has hired Danielle Ferguson as Assistant Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator.
"I'm honored and grateful for the opportunity to work at Alcorn State University. The school has such a rich history and I look forward to contributing to the athletic department. I've only been here a short period of time, but the welcoming and hospitality I've received has been very friendly. I can't wait to begin working with everyone on campus and moving athletics forward," Ferguson said.
Ferguson comes to Alcorn from Mississippi University for Women as the first-ever men's and women's track & field head coach. She has prior SWA experience as she held the role in an interim capacity at Mississippi Valley State for two years.
"We are excited for Danielle to get started at Alcorn. She has worked in many different capacities in athletics and brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to the department. Danielle will play a vital role in enhancing the experience of the student-athletes, while providing tremendous support for our coaches and staff," said director of athletics Derek Horne.
