MEN:
The Morehouse, Virginia State and Clark Atlanta men remained nationally ranked in this week's National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and D2 SIDA polls.
Morehouse, the only undefeated team in major college basketball, moved up to #7 and #8 in the national polls of Top 25 teams just released by the NABC and D2SIDA.
Since last week's polls, by the coaches and sports information directors associations, the Maroon Tigers extended their school record win streak to 18-0, with an overtime win over Benedict (17-5) and a road win against Paine (4-16).
The National Association of Basketball Coaches' poll moves the Tigers up three spots from last week, to #7.
Virginia State (17-2) fell five spots in the NABC poll and eight positions in the D2SIDA poll following its loss, 65-55, to Bowie State Saturday,
The Panthers of Clark Atlanta (19-1) are ranked 21st in the nation in both the NABC and D2SIDA polls. CAU entered the D2SIDA poll last week and added a spot in the NABC poll this week. These rankings mark the first time that Clark Atlanta has been nationally ranked in seven years.

WOMEN:
Virginia Union (19-1) held on to its positions in the rankings, staying at #7 nationally while still holding the top spot in the Atlantic Region rankings. Virginia State (17-2) at #6 and Chowan (15-4) at #9 joined the Trojans in the regional rankings. Bowie State (13-6) dropped out of the top 10 after losing to Virginia Union and Virginia State
Central State dropped to #10 in the South region following a loss to Spring Hill and a win over Lemoyne-Owen.
