SALISBURY – Six home games highlight the Livingstone College 2019 football schedule, including three straight contests facing Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association opponents. In addition, Livingstone will not leave the state of North Carolina, but only twice.

The Blue Bears open the 2019 season on the road taking on SIAC opponent Clark Atlanta University (Sept. 7) in Atlanta.livingstonefb flag

One week later LC returns home and will match-up Elizabeth City State University in a non-conference showdown in its annual West End Classic (Sept. 14).

Coming to Salisbury is NAIA foe Allen University (Sept. 21), who is in their second year of competing in football. LC will host the Yellow Jackets for the first time since 1964.

"We are looking forward to the upcoming season and we have the opportunity to open the season with a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (The SIAC)." said Head Coach Daryl Williams. "Being on the road really hurt us, but with a strong fan base and home field advantage I think our schedule is a pretty competitive."

Livingstone, which went 3-6 overall and 1-5 in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association last year, will open CIAA play in a cross-over game, and wrap up the month of September on the road at Lincoln University, PA and meeting up with Lincoln University (Sept. 28).

LC then returns to Alumni Memorial Stadium to round out the CIAA Northern cycle by hosting Virginia Union University (Oct.5) in a cross division tilt.

Livingstone will be making back to back trips to the triangle area midway through the season. First the Blue Bears will face Saint Augustine's University (Oct. 12) and then hit the road the following week to face Shaw University in Durham (Oct. 19)

The Columbia Blue and Black will stay home for the final three weeks with an in-state battle and welcome Winston-Salem State University (Oct. 26).

The Blue Bears will celebrate Homecoming to begin the month of November as they host Fayetteville State University (Nov. 2)

The Blue Bears will close out the 2019 gridiron season on Nov. 9 hosting arch-rival Johnson C. Smith University, in the Commemorative Classic, which will take place inside Alumni Memorial Stadium in Salisbury, the Birthplace of Black College Football.
