HBCU's were well represented in the final poll of the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NCTA).  Six teams made the top 25 and four others received votes.ntca logo

North Carolina A&T was the top rated HBCU squad at #7 followed by MEAC Champion Delaware State (#11), Maryland Eastern Shore (#12), MEAC Runner-up Norfolk State (#21), SWAC Champion Jackson State (#23) and SWAC Runner-up Prairie View A&M (#25).

CIAA Runner-up Fayetteville State, Bethune-Cookman, Alabama State and CIAA Champion Bowie State also received points.

NTCA voters rank the top 20 teams on their ballot.  Each position has a designated point value, ranging from 32 points for first place and one point for twentieth place.
