MORROW, Ga. – Clayton State University has selected Tim Duncan to become the Lakers’ Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. University President Dr. Thomas Hynes announced on Monday that Duncan, the current Director of Athletics at Paine College, will oversee the institution’s 12-sport NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics program.
“We are fortunate to have Mr. Tim Duncan join our University leadership team,” said Dr. Hynes. “Tim brings a combination of experiences that will support our long-term commitment to academic success for student-athletes as a part of a tradition of athletic success, including nationally competitive teams.”
Duncan, the third full-time director in Laker history, takes over the program following the departure of Carl McAloose in February. Women’s Head Soccer Coach Gareth O’Sullivan served as the interim athletics director for the past four months. Duncan will officially begin his new position at Clayton State on August 4.
