Florida Memorial Athletics Turmoil

HBCUSports.com is reporting the resignation of Florida Memorial University Athletics Director Ernest Jones following the suspension of all Fall sports due to COVID-19 concerns.florida memorial lion

Tuesday, FMU announced the cancellatiion of the remainder of the season for women's vollehball, men's soccer and women's soccer.

Friday, the Miami Herald reported the suspension of three coaches including head football coach Timothy Harris. A fourth coach has resigned.

Now we learn of the resignation of Jones and a shutdown of the entire athletics department.

Deputy AD and Senior Woman Administrator Chevonne Mansfield has been named interim AD until further notice.
