Randall would have been entering her fourth season on "The Hill". During her three seasons at AAMU, her teams went 17-73. Last year's team posted a 5-25 overall record.

Before coming to Huntsville, Randall was head coach for five seasons at Ohio University from 2008-12.

An alumna of the University of Tennessee, Randall played under Pat Summitt and was a member of the undefeated (39-0) 1998 NCAA Women's National Championship team. After graduating in 2000, Randall spent four seasons in the WNBA with the Seattle Storm and Utah Starzz.

"We would like to thank Coach Randall for her service to the women's basketball program and wish her much success in her future endeavors," Hicks said.

A search for a new coach will begin immediately, he said.
