The Hampton Pirates will begin conference play on the road playing Charleston Southern Dec. 21-22 before having their home conference opener against Gardner-Webb Dec. 30-31.
Topping off the New Year the Pirates will be on the road facing Radford Jan. 4-5, then back at home to face UNC Asheville on Jan. 9-10. The next games will be on the road at USC Upstate on the 14th and 15th before returning home to play Campbell on Jan. 19-20. To close out the month the men will play at Winthrop the 24th and 25th and then back at home against High Point on the 29th and 30th.
Wrapping up the regular season Hampton will play at Longwood February 4-5 and then close out the conference season at home against Presbyterian on the February 11-12.
After a bye week, the week of February 25 will be used for a make-up week if any games are postponed due COVID-19.
The 2021 Hercules Tires Big South Men's Basketball Championship will be a home-site/earned seed format that returned in 2017. The current schedule features first round games at the No. 6, 7 and 8 seeds on Tuesday, March 2. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be played at the No. 1 seed on Thursday-Friday, March 4-5, while the highest remaining seed will host the championship game on Sunday, March 7.
Non-conference games and all game times will be announced at a later date. All conference games will be streamed on ESPN+ as there will be no fans at home games this season.
