The 2020 University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff football schedule features five home games and a new eight-game Southwestern Athletic Conference scheduling format.uapb lion

The season begins with a pair of first-time matchups on the road. UAPB will play Sun Belt Conference opponent Troy on Sept. 5, followed by a Sept. 12 matchup at Miami, Ohio of the Mid-American Conference.

The Golden Lions will welcome Bethune-Cookman of the MEAC for the home opener on Sept. 19. It's the first of a two-game home-and-home series, as the teams will play again at BCU in 2022.

This season the SWAC has moved to an eight-game conference format, and UAPB will open league play facing two SWAC Eastern Division opponents it has not played since 2016.

Pine Bluff will play at defending conference champion Alcorn on Sept. 26 before ending the first half of the season with an Oct. 3 home game vs. Alabama St.

Following a bye week, the Golden Lions will host Jackson State in the 2020 homecoming game on Oct. 17. UAPB will travel to face Miss. Valley State on Oct. 24 before ending the month with an Oct. 31 home game vs. Prairie View A&M to start a stretch of four consecutive SWAC Western Division opponents to end the season.

The Golden Lions will make back-to-back trips to Louisiana to open November, first with a Nov. 7 matchup at Grambling before a Nov. 14 game at defending SWAC West Champ Southern.

UAPB will end the regular season with a Nov. 21 home game vs. Texas Southern.
