CHARLOTTE - The 2019 Johnson C. Smith University Football Schedule is a mirror image of last year's schedule. The opponents are the same but the locations have rotated. Four home games are set with homecoming slated for October 26.
The Golden Bulls will open their season on September 5 when they host Wingate University in the Irwin Belk Complex. JCSU will be looking to avenge a 36-0 loss, their only shutout, from last season.
Following the home opener, JCSU hits the road for South Carolina and Virginia contests. On September 14, the Golden Bulls will face Benedict College at Charlie W. Johnson Stadium in Columbia, S.C.
September 21 finds the Golden Bulls back on the road to face the Panthers of Virginia Union University at Hovey Field in Richmond, Virginia.
Next, the Golden Bulls return to Virginia on September 28 to take on the Trojans of Virginia State University in Rogers Stadium in Ettrick, Va.
The road trip is temporarily interrupted when JCSU hosts Lincoln University of Pennsylvania on October 5 at the Irwin Belk Complex.
October 12 finds the Golden Bulls back on the road to meet the Rams of Winston-Salem State University in Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, N.C.
2018 CIAA Southern Division Champion Fayetteville State University comes to Charlotte on October 19 as JCSU begins a two-game home stand which includes Homecoming against Shaw University on October 26.
JCSU closes out the season with two more road trips.
On November2, JCSU travels to Raleigh, N.C. to meet Saint Augustine's University at the George Williams Complex.
The Golden Bulls travel up I-85 to face Livingstone College in the Commemorative Classic, November 9 at Alumni Memorial Stadium in Salisbury.
